Johannes Schmidt is the editor of the Atlas Network’s Sound Money Project. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, but grew up in the Washington, D.C., metro area where he studied international affairs and Spanish literature at the George Washington University. He is interested in promoting a rule based monetary system and the morality of sound money. He has worked at several free-market think tanks both in Washington and abroad and currently serves as a language consultant for the United States Department of Defense. He has appeared in various publications including The Baltimore Sun, The Daily Caller and Fox News Latino and his work on bitcoin was cited in the book “Bitcoin and the future of money.”
