Daniel Oliver Jr. appears regularly as a guest on financial media outlets, lectures at monetary and investment conferences, and frequently publishes articles on gold, interest rates, and the Federal Reserve. He has been a director of the Committee for Monetary Research & Education since 2011.
Mr. Oliver graduated from Columbia Law School with honors and practiced law in the corporate division of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He left Simpson Thacher to obtain an MBA from INSEAD. After co-founding two venture companies, Mr. Oliver joined Bearing Capital, LLC, a private equity firm in Buenos Aires focused on Latin American commodities investments. Mr. Oliver founded Myrmikan Capital in 2009, an advisory firm specializing in precious metals investments.
